Young Adults Meeting
What is YAM? Yam stands for Young Adult Meeting, but what does that exactly mean?. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:2 To the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, the called saints, WITH ALL THOSE who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, who is theirs and ours.” The Christian journey is not a lonely one, it is spent enjoying Christ with other believers! Without enjoying with other believers we miss the Lord completely. That’s exactly what our YAM meeting is. It’s a meeting meant to guide young adults on their journey with the Lord. Through dinner, prayer, fellowship, and a little fun we labor and enjoy the Lord together, the way the Lord intended us too. In this way, young adults learn who the Lord is, what he wants us to do (Acts 9:5-6), and how we can go on with him day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16).
We meet at the University of Cincinnati on Fridays at 6pm in Clifton Court Hall room 1130. While the meeting is called young adult meeting, all are welcomed regardless of age. However, to all the young adults at the University and nearby, we would like to ask you a couple questions. Have you ever wondered to yourself why do we exist? What happens after death? Is God real? What is the meaning of human life? Or have you ever felt like there’s no purpose to life? That there has to be something more to life than school/work, sleep, eat, do it all over again? To those who have wondered this we say “Come, and you will see” (John 1:39). Come and you will see who God really is.
