God is Your Creator (April 19, 2020)

I praise You, for I am awesomely and wonderfully made…

Psalm 139:14

God made us in a special way.

Practical Application:

Talk about the different parts of our body (eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet) and how wonderful they are in what they can do.

“And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…

Genesis 1:26a

We were molded (created) by God. Man has a unique image like no other creature.

Practical Application:

Ask the children, “Can you imagine that some people believe that we come from monkeys?” Have them point out how man is different from a pig or a monkey. All animals were created (molded, shaped) according to their kind. For example, dogs are molded like dogs and monkeys are molded like monkeys. God formed man from the dust of the ground to have God’s image and likeness. Therefore, man was created according to God’s kind and not according to any other kind of animal.
